This page reads the source’s illustrated replacement rear-vent example. The source article names Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205, GLC 253 and E-Class W213 and gives a combined 2015–2021 range. The product label in source image 001 specifically names C-Class W205, 2015–2021. These labels do not confirm every vehicle, rear-console assembly, lighting system or kit version.
For E-Class W213, the source mentions earlier vehicles, a pre-2020 reference and the “801” version associated with 2021 and later, while reporting different rear-vent attachment arrangements including a screw-secured base. It does not define a complete year/version boundary or a complete fastener map. The pictured removal must not be generalized as clip-only removal; the actual fasteners and vehicle/kit variant still need confirmation.
The C-Class/GLC and E-Class knob supports are distinguished in the source photos. Their size, orientation and locating features must not be treated as interchangeable. The images do not supply part numbers, dimensions, tightening torques or a complete vehicle-specific removal/reassembly procedure.
The photo captions below are readable English descriptions of what this source shows. They do not approve fitment, electrical connections, fault diagnosis or installation. Technical review remains on HOLD.
1. Source photos with readable English captions
1. Product labels and numbered parts
The source labels this product “For 2015–2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205” and “64-color illuminated rear air vents.” Numbered parts: 01 illuminated rear air vents; 02 rear-vent blanking caps; 03 vent lighting harness.
These are source labels and pictured parts only. They do not extend this W205 image to GLC/E-Class, establish actual kit completeness or prove all 64 colors or color synchronization.
2. Source photo 1 — console compartment and rear-vent assembly
The caption says to open the compartment and pry out the rear air-vent assembly. The photo shows the compartment above the rear vents; the source calls it “手套箱” (glove compartment).
This records the pictured source wording; it is not a universal glove-box removal instruction. The correct vehicle-specific fasteners/removal method remain unconfirmed, especially W213 screw-secured variants.
3. Source photo 2 — wiring plug
The source caption describes unplugging the connecting wiring plug.
The photo marks a connector but supplies no cavity numbers, electrical isolation procedure or kit-specific terminal definition.
4. Source photo 3 — marked disassembly locations
The source marks four disassembly locations on the rear of the pictured assembly.
The circles show locations in this example. They do not identify universal screw/clip arrangements, tool forces or W213 fastener applicability.
5. Source photo 4 — original chrome rings
The source caption describes removing the vehicle’s original chrome rings.
Pictured trim only; vehicle-specific retention details, dimensions and removal force are not supplied.
6. Source photo 5 — knob removal
The source caption describes removing the control knob.
The image does not define a universal removal method or prove that every vehicle uses the same knob support.
7. Source photo 6 — rotating portion of the knob
The source caption describes disassembling the rotating portion of the knob.
This is the pictured assembly sequence, not a complete procedure for every knob/kit variant.
8. Source photo 7 — distinguish the supports
The source labels the left support C-Class/GLC and the right support E-Class, and says to distinguish them.
Keep the pictured left/right distinction. The image supplies no part numbers or exact dimensions; the supports are not interchangeable by assumption.
9. Source photo 8 — support orientation and size
The source caption describes fitting the knob support and paying attention to its orientation and size.
No numerical dimensions or complete variant selection rule is supplied. This does not approve a universal support or direction.
10. Source photo 9 — locating pin
The source identifies a locating pin on the knob.
The marked feature is shown in this example; its geometry or orientation must not be inferred for unseen parts.
11. Source photo 10 — align the locating pin
The source caption describes aligning the locating pin when reinstalling the knob.
This reports the shown alignment concept without adding an insertion force, torque or universal fitment.
12. Source photo 11 — rear clips
The source caption calls for checking that the rear clips are seated.
Clip seating in this pictured assembly does not establish that every rear-console base is secured only by clips.
13. Source photo 12 — knob seating
The source caption calls for the knob to be fully seated.
No measured clearance, acceptance test or vehicle-specific retention specification is provided.
14. Source photo 13 — outer chrome ring
The source caption describes replacing the outer chrome ring and aligning the locating pin during installation.
The image does not supply a universal ring size, force or variant compatibility.
15. Source photo 14 — illustrated right-side wiring route
The source caption describes routing concealed wiring along the right side and connecting it with the front air-vent wiring.
SOURCE DESCRIPTION ONLY. This is not an executable wiring instruction. No vehicle/kit connector cavity assignment, supply/polarity/channel definition, joining method or electrical evidence is supplied; this route and connection cannot be generalized.
16. Source result photo — RGB and handover wording
The source caption calls for checking the basic colors red, green and blue, and handing over the vehicle after synchronized color changes.
This is the source’s stated check and handover wording. A still image does not prove an RGB test, all 64 colors, synchronization, successful function or an accepted vehicle handover.
2. Source-described lighting and troubleshooting limits
Factory ambient lighting / module branch
The source says that a vehicle with factory ambient lighting and no added illuminated products, such as front illuminated vents, needs a separate module for the illuminated rear vents. That is a source configuration claim, not a verified module requirement for this particular vehicle or kit. The module identity, supply, connector terminals and actual vehicle lighting system are not established here.
Added front illuminated vents / joining branch
The source describes joining rear illuminated-vent wiring with already-added front illuminated-vent wiring. Photo14 also shows a right-side concealed route. No vehicle/kit-specific terminal, polarity, lighting-channel, fuse/supply or joining-method evidence is provided. This page therefore gives no connection-by-color or directly executable universal joining instruction.
Color mismatch / alleged lamp-head fault
The source recommends looking at the basic colors red, green and blue and claims that a missing color means the lamp head is faulty and should be replaced. The text and still photos do not establish that diagnosis or rule out other causes. They do not justify replacing a unit solely because one color is absent; actual circuit and component evidence remains missing.
All rear vents unlit
The source mentions a loose main wiring plug and incorrect joined-wire pin assignments. It supplies no actual pin map, supply measurement, connector identity or complete fault-isolation procedure. These are source-described possibilities, not a verified test sequence or repair for this vehicle.
Wire-color example retained as historical evidence
The Chinese source body contains a color correspondence table, and source image004 labels two pictured harness sides “Ours” and “Others.” The image does not number connector cavities or establish a vehicle/kit pin map. The source’s claimed “international standard” is not substantiated. The source archive is not available for download on this page; wire colors are not offered here as an executable connection guide.
3. Historical image downloads
Historical image downloads are not available on this page. The installation photos are shown in the guide above.
4. Existing installation videos
The archived video files are not available on this page.
Review limits
Vehicle/year/version and kit fitment, W213 fasteners, C/GLC/E support selection, module/electrical terminal definitions, safe joining/routing, fault diagnosis, actual RGB/synchronization/function testing, full video/subtitle/audio review and public acceptance remain unresolved. Source descriptions and local readability changes do not constitute technical approval.
