This tutorial applies to the 2018-2023 Audi Q5 for installing ambient lights. It is recommended to install and program the main module first, then disconnect our ambient light module; reconnect the module only after all components are installed. First install the main module, then install the four-door modules.

Note: Prioritize tapping into the CAN wire of the BCM module. If this position is unavailable or the CAN signal is not working, then tap into the rear of the head unit.

1. If the color of a single ambient light is out of sync, remove the lamp housing and check whether any of the four internal lamp wires are detached, whether the order of the soldered wires matches the arrangement sequence of other lamp heads, and whether the terminals at the plug connection are firmly inserted and not bent.
2. If the ambient lights throughout the vehicle do not light up: use a multimeter to test if there is power to the module. If there is power, unplug and replug the module, then wait one minute before plugging it back in.
3. If the color palette on the adjustment page is out of sync with the ambient lights or does not change color, do the same: unplug and replug the module, then wait one minute before plugging it back in.
4. If the light emission is relatively dim, check whether the lamp housing or lamp head is detached and whether the light-emitting chip is aligned with the factory vehicle's light strip. 5. If all lights in the vehicle do not light up, check if the two CAN wires are plugged into the wrong positions. Use a multimeter to test whether there is power output from the two CAN wires to the module (the CAN wires are white and purple).
6. If you encounter an issue where brightness cannot be adjusted and the brightness percentage option automatically switches to D, simply unplug and replug the ambient light module.
